Possible causes
LED driver or inverter fault
The circuit that supplies constant current to the strips fails, so the panel receives no light even though the image is being generated.
Power supply board issues
Aged capacitors or failed regulators on the SMPS board cause shutdowns, restarts and blinking standby indicators.
Main board or panel connector faults
Loose ribbon cables and damaged connectors between the main board and panel produce blank or distorted output.
Safe checks you can do first
- Confirm the wall socket works with another device, and try a different socket.
- Unplug the TV for two minutes, then power it back on to clear a stuck state.
- Shine a torch close to the screen with the TV on — a faint image means a backlight fault.
- Disconnect all HDMI and USB devices and test the TV on its own.
- Note any blinking pattern on the standby light and tell the technician when booking.
Do not open the television or work on its internal parts yourself. Panels and power boards hold stored electrical charge even when unplugged, so internal work should be left to a technician.

Sound with no picture usually points at the backlight, the LED driver or the panel connection rather than the main board, because the TV is still processing the signal correctly.
Diagnosis is done at home. Strip replacement needs the panel to be opened in a clean, controlled space, so the technician will tell you if the TV must be taken to the workshop.
Dark bands usually mean a section of the backlight has failed, or the diffuser sheets behind the panel have shifted. Both are inspected during diagnosis.
